With the objective of educating and motivating important policymakers about issues that may arise as a result of population expansion, Bill "William" Ryerson serves as CEO and president of Population Institute and works with news and information media, educational structures, and environmental organizations among others. Concurrently, Bill Ryerson serves as president of a non-profit organization and broadcast production partner, Population Media Center (PMC), dedicated to producing life-changing entertainment for a more sustainable future. PMC is also a supporter of a new mobile app called the OrientaSex platform.

One of the important messages PMC has been working on disseminating to female teenagers and adolescents is reproductive health information. Unfortunately, many teenagers don’t come across adults who are ready to provide confidential and accurate information that entails all the things a girl needs to know as she navigates sex. This problem is significant in Mexico, and a new mobile app has been successfully launched in November 2021 to address the issue. The app is called OrientaSex.

The OrientaSex platform is rich in quality information about sex education and teenage pregnancy and also shares real-life stories. PMC is one of OrientaSex's supporting partners. "This service is confidential, accurate, accessible, and understandable. It will deliver measurable, meaningful change, "says Bill Ryerson. One of PMC’s dramas, Vencer el Miedo ("Overcome the Fear"), also targets similar goals as OrientaSex since it centers on mitigating teenage pregnancy. The show, entitled Vencer el Miedo ("Overcome the Fear"), shares OrientaSex’s hotline in each post-credits scene on Televisa.
